i feel the cold steel in my hands the red and the white
what a beautiful machine
i feel myself being lifted up by his big ole hands
and it feels so good
but back at home it wasn't always the same......
she was right to tell me to stay i don't know why i wanted
to go and play with the neighbor kids more
than being with them
i can still see him sitting there smiling at me like he always did
well i didn't know that he would die and our times would be
limited no no
they call Birdie Grandpa but i call him hero
he was so much one with nature that the cardinals ate
from his hands

i thank God he placed him in my life
